This was the bench I found in a magazine and gave to my son Rick to duplicate. Well, he took time from his very busy schedule today to build it for me. (Only one week until our visitors come.)
This is the base cabinet that I have to sand, prime and paint. As soon as that is done, we need to put on the hinges and it's ready to move into the house. Actually, it's been so hot here I'll probably have to paint it in the house.
This is the top of the cabinet. Just look at all the storage I will have. It's about 72" long.
I'll be keeping you up-to-date as it nears completion.
Thanks Rick for all your hard work. You continue to make me proud and your great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather (who were carpenters) would be just as proud as I am.
Thanks for reading,
Gretchen

I cannot wait to see this in place and ready for a meal! Don't worry about getting me the hen. I will go look myself, as they likely have them here as well! But I sure thank you for your sweetness, my friend!

You have become a shopping machine! Isn't it fun to have company coming to give you the incentive to spruce things up? I'm backing up two posts here. Love the trays. I'd paint one white and the other red. You can always change them if you don't like them. Adore the round red placemats! I've started buying round ones, too. They take up less table space. And that little bird jar is darling, as is your chicken. Looking good! Can't wait to see the finished project!
