Pine Cones...

 

My helper Nicholas was here over the weekend and between skateboarding, we found something fun to do.

This is his trick move.

 

Nicholas took this picture.  I'd like to blame the photographer but he had a lot of me to work with.

 

We have two hemlock trees in our back yard so he and I decided to pick up the little pine cones they produce.

 

Isn't it incredible what nature gives us?

 

We ended up with this big bowl of little tiny pine cones.

I just love pine cones. I don't have any pine trees on my property and it makes me sad. I usually put them around a candle for "candlescaping" or I put them in a jar just to look at through the glass!
